COLLEGE PARK ACADEMY PROGRAM

The academy program at college park is designed for players (u8-u12) who are ready to progress from recreational soccer to a more competitive level. The program is a center of soccer excellence with practices two times a week after school including league play on weekends against other Metro Atlanta academy clubs (10-12 academy game days and 2-3 tournaments per season). Academy members have a third weekly option of practice with the Resurgens Futsal program.

We offer structured yet flexible training programs to enhance every players' talent & maximize potential. The holistic approach to youth development, experienced leadership, qualified coaches, aligned with our mission, vision, standards and core values cultivate the academy environment.

We accelerate and nurture academy players' technical skills, tactical awareness, decision making, sportsmanship, and athleticism. Our philosophy is an environment of excellence through proven methods, holistic coaching support, learning and development.  Proven leadership and coaching methods activate players to become more self confident, self aware, self motivated, and inspire to drive a deep love, ownership, development and passion for the game.

We believe every academy player has the capabilities to become an elite athlete. Through our accelerated development training academy players will become technically sound, two-footed soccer players. We believe in nurturing a player's ability to stay on the ball and play out of pressure, which are essential skills for today's competitive soccer environment. Our training curriculum is crafted to cater to various skill levels, so that every participant can get the most out of each session.

The player development framework ensures both the players and their families excel as everyone in the environment is aligned. We believe every player has the potential and an aptitude to excel, a capacity to learn, grow and develop, and just as importantly has a support structure that trusts the process in order for the player to be the main actor, the star of the show.

“The role of the coach is to enable the player to explore. By allowing that player to explore they can gain a better understanding to become more aware and from that place to make a better decision than he or she would have made previously .”
